I am a tactile person, so the use of beads for prayer is alluring to me. Growing up in the Catholic Faith, I have memories of the fingering of the Rosary beads and the murmurs of the Prayers of the Rosary as an ongoing activity scattered throughout both of my grandmothers' days. As an adult I am intrigued by the common use of beads as a mode of prayer in many religions. I enjoy exploring the many practices of praying with beads and finding beads, crucifixes and crosses to create prayer beads of many origins.
